Future Cities – Visions of Our City

We are living in the urban age. Cities house our businesses, citizens and feed our economies. Two billion more people will be added to the world’s cities between now and 2050. Over the next 30 years, a renewed global system of connected and trading cities is being set in motion, all integrated by new corridors, advanced mobility, and digital connectivity.

HSBC’s Visions of Our City series explores the dynamics of some of MENAT’s largest metropolis, their history, the present day and how they will evolve in the coming years. This series covers:

  • Istanbul
  • Dubai
  • Abu Dhabi
  • Cairo
  • Riyadh

Exploring the Series

The cities covered are concentrations of people and consumers, systems and infrastructures, assets and amenities, anchoring key corridors of talent, trade, investment, and travel.

Throughout the series, you’ll be able to access our HSBC City Reports, explore new local partnerships with street artists that give rise to the visual identity and spirit of each city.

Now more than ever, investing in cities is critical as engines of recovery in a post-pandemic world, allowing us all to thrive.
